I am really glad that Judge Mangieri was reelected. It is nice to see someone who runs a clean positive campaign reelected. James Standard ran a very negative campaign, spending his ad revenues misrepresenting Judge Mangieri's record. I hope we can see the last of the nasty, negative campaigning made infamous by the Bush family duo. Negative campaigning, which is often based on half-truths blown out of proportion, is nothing different than gossip and office whisper campaigns only less reliable.

Ever see one of those cork boards like the one at Giant Foods or the Broadview Restaurant? There would be business cards thumb tacked all over the place. This is kind of a nice free way for businesses to advertise but it is kind of hard to find what you want this way. Remember how many donut shops we used to have? Lets see there was one on Grand Ave near the Laundromat. Both are gone now. The one on Broad and Fremont is still there but doesn’t seem to as busy as it once was.

The word blog comes the words web and log. It is a report or journal that is periodically updated like a kind of diary. Only they are intended to read by everyone. Readers can respond to blogs and they can become ongoing conversations.

Remember the old envelope stuffing scam? They were not hiring people; they were selling envelopes or something. If it sounds to good to be true than it is. How about the ad which proclaims how much postal jobs pay and gives the their phone number as if they were hiring postal employees. After answering this ad you would find they were selling preparation tests in order to pass the test for potential postal employees. Your local post office may not even be hiring. An act that has disparate impact is an act, which has an unequal affect on a specific group. If one or more supervisors spend a greater amount of time supervising people over the age of 55, this is definitely an act of desperate impact on the group of people over 55. These actions would have a greater impact the group of people over 55 than on the rest of the employee population.
